As Nice celebrated the 100th anniversary of Studios de la Victorine, it was the turn of the “King of Cinema” to be at the heart of this unmissable event. The studios, which were the centre of the French Riviera’s film industry from 1919 onwards, produced films by Marcel Carné, Roger Vadim, François Truffaut, Jean Cocteau, Jacques Demy, Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen and many other talented directors.
With its six daytime and evening Corsi parades, comprising 17 floats and more than 1600 dancers, musicians and performers from all over the world, this year’s Nice Carnival was an authentically magical spectacle!
And what would Nice Carnival be without its traditional flower “battles”? On floats decorated with the most beautiful flower arrangements (80% locally sourced), performers in themed costumes distributed over 250 000 flowers and 21 tonnes of mimosa to the public.
Miss this year’s carnival? Why not join us for the 2020 Nice Carnival, on the theme “King of Fashion”!
